Alouette Electric Skateboard 29 Inches Maple Review

Skateboards have been cool for generations, but we now also have the electric skateboard. This means that an electric motor provides the power, instead of your foot. You will also be using a remote control to control the board. The only thing you still have to do yourself is control its direction, in other words.

When they were first developed, skateboards were a novel mode of transportation. However, that was soon changed into something that was fun because it allowed performing tricks, and an entire subculture was developed. The electric skateboard actually took a step back because it once again focused on providing a mode of transportation.

This initially caused it to be only popular with young people who had just started to board, and with commuters. But now, we have the electric off road board of which one example is the Alouette Electric Skateboard, a 29-inch maple board. Suddenly, people can now ride on low tide beaches, across rocks, on grass, and on dirt once again. So is the Alouette the one you should go for, if you want to join this latest craze?

More and more people are choosing to have electric skateboards as a highly convenient mode of transportation. In big cities, such as New York, San Francisco, or LA, driving has become almost impossible because of the heavy traffic. Furthermore, many of us are now ecologically aware, meaning that we try to lower our carbon footprint. An electric skateboard helps us solve a range of problems. It is fast, it is convenient, you can whizz past traffic, and you don’t have as much emission as before, other than having to charge your battery.

The Alouette is made from five layers of maple and it weighs just 7.7lbs. It is incredibly tough and very durable. It comes with a 2200mah Lithium Ion battery that charges in just 1.5 hours and can ride up to 6.2 miles on high speed (12.4 miles on low speed).

The motor is a 70mm brushless hub motor with two speed modes, with a power of 350W. It also comes with a remote wireless control that allows you to set the speed, and to brake or accelerate with ease. It also has high quality PU wheels with 80A hardness.

Perhaps one of the greatest things about this board is its looks. This is a board on which you can be proud to be seen. The top of the board is dark and the bottom is light, with the exception of the motor. The wheels are an orange to red color that make the board stand out.

Not just that, in the dark, it has lights that make it look as if you are riding along on your own private disco! This is one of the reasons why it is also popular with the younger crowd. As an added benefit for parents, the brakes work really well, which means they have peace of mind knowing their children can ride on it safely.

Although it is classed as a modern day electric skateboard, which means that it is suitable for off road riding, most people find it to be better for commuting. It can go up an angle of 15 degrees, although it will lose a lot of speed while doing so. On flat, smooth surfaces, such as roads or pavements, it works very well. Indeed, it comes highly recommended in the board community for anyone who wants to commute with hills that are no more than medium in steepness.

For many, it provides an ecologically sound mode of transportation, as well as being incredibly affordable. They can avoid having to pay for public transportation, or for all the associated costs of driving a car. Instead, they can simply ride their board wherever they go and pick it up when they get to their destination. Because it is so lightweight, it doesn’t get cumbersome to carry around.

Not So Great for…

Those wanting to cover longer distances or who need to go up a lot of hills.

The Final Verdict

Overall this is a fantastic board for those who are looking for a mode of transportation.
